In 2009 we had our 10-years anniversary. 2009 was also the UN-year of the GORILLA. Because we couldn´t celebrate our anniversary together with YOU, our customers, we want to say THANK YOU for your faithfulness and trust by going a new way. We decided to subscribe 0,50 € of EACH SAMPLE, that will be tested in our laboratory in 2010 to a special project. This donation will be served to protect the habitats of the GORILLAS and to keep them from extermination. Therefor we first take over a 5 years sponsorship of a Gorilla in close cooperation with the Zoologischen Gesellschaft Frankfurt (www.zgf.de) and want to spend the further available money of the fund-raiser to support other similar projects, i.e. the protection of Orang-Utans in Sumatra.

Moutain Gorillas are one of the Great Apes, that are threatened with extinction very strong. There are only about 700 apes remained, living in the African area of Ruanda, Uganda and Democratic Republic (DR) Kongo.

 

In this area, the Virunga Nationalpark in DR Kongo, the "Zoologische Gesellschaft Frankfurt" (ZGF) acts with the aim to save these Gorillas and to protect the Nationalpark for a long time. With the takeover of a 5-years sponsorship we want to support this aim and hope, that these wonderful species can survive.
